As modernization of technology, we have come up with amazing innovations in all fields. Same goes for Fabrics as well. Almost everyone wants to wear the fabric they like but do they actually know about that fabric their benefits and their sources.
Friends, We all wear different types of garments, clothing etc but we normally don’t look at the fabric qualities which may suit us or not. There are numerous types of fabrics but some major important fabrics and their benefits are as following:
Wool is one of the widely used fabrics. Its main source is the hair of goats and sheep. It is the fabric mostly used in winter season to prevent us from cold. It is stretchable and also breathable in comparison with other fabrics. Whereas Cashmere fabric is also made of the hair of Indian Cashmere goat and is a great example of Textiles from India. It is soft, silky and also light in weight but is expensive.
Silk is also an important Fiber made up of Silkworm. It is soft to use and skin friendly. It has an amazing shining quality and is highly durable but is expensive. Also we need to care of it by dry cleaning and other suiting methods.
Cotton is a soft, skin friendly fiber grows in cotton plants. It is allergy free, durable, Eco friendly and breathable. But it is highly flammable and also weakens when it comes in light. Cotton Fabric from India is one of the best quality examples for it.
Polyester is an example of synthetic fiber. It is a mixture of cotton and other fibers and some amount of chemical in used in manufacturing it. It is light weighted, strong and hard to shrink. But it is not Eco-Friendly.
Nylon is a light weighted synthetic polymer which is strong and easy to care and unaffected by insects, fungi etc. It is not a good absorbent and it is not Eco-friendly.
With modern technologies there are many types of other fabrics which are widely used due to their suitable properties and with the growing innovation in this field, new types of fibers and the amendment methods will keep emerging.
